Client navigation re-design
19 May 2010
We just launched a redesign of the client navigation. It took us a few days to try out different approaches and versions but we think we found an elegant solution. Above you can see the initial version (Version 1) and next to it the final version (Version 2). When we designed the site initially we didn’t account for the client navigation so when we added in the arrows at the bottom things looked a bit chunky and not really streamlined. You know that something feels off when you’re driving home and all you can think of is another way to implement navigation arrows :-)
A huge benefit of this approach is that you don’t have to cycle through all pages to get to the one you’re looking for. Instead you can click any dot you want to go straight to that section.
We actually borrowed the solution from the iPhone which uses dots to indicate what page you’re on when sliding between windows. Well here at Gympro we’re smart but lazy too, so couldn’t implement the sliding functionality like in the iPhone but we’ve got the next best thing. :-)
All you have to do is click on the dots to jump between pages. Enjoy!
